Great Lakes Light Houses : Number of lights by lake and country. Lake Ontario, US, side 27 lights, Canada, 75 lights. Lake Erie, US, 74 lights, Canada, 36 lights. Lake Huron, US, 40 lights, Canada, 92 lights. Lake Michigan, US, 131 lights. Lake Superior, US, 63 lights, Canada, 35 lights. Between Canada and the US the Great Lakes have about 11,000 miles of coast line(about 5100 on the US side and another 5800 on the Canadian side). So with numbers like this you can see there's a lot of lights and scenic possibilities in the Great Lakes Basin.

Fall : Fall in the Great Lakes is one of my favorite times of year. The mosquito's are gone, mostly. The colors can go from subtle to knock your socks off. The weather is unpredictable at best, which makes for some interesting days.
